Terms of Service
Version v1.1 - Last updated 2026-08-23
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MySoil ("the platform", "we", "our"). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and the legal entity that operates MySoil in India. They apply alongside our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
1. Who can use MySoil
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use the platform. If you are creating an account on behalf of an organisation (a KVK, an FPO, an agri-corp), you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
- Notify us immediately at the contact below if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You may delete your account at any time. Deletion is subject to the retention rules described in the Privacy Policy.
3. What MySoil provides
MySoil provides:
- A map-based interface for drawing and managing farm fields.
- Satellite-derived indices (NDVI, NDMI, BSI, SAVI, NBR2, surface moisture, surface temperature) for the geographic boundaries you create.
- Weather forecasts sourced from third-party providers.
- Machine-learning estimates of soil parameters (organic carbon, macro- and micro-nutrients) derived from satellite imagery and laboratory ground truth.
- Crop-stage advisories, market price information, and informational content from public agricultural extension sources.
- Transactional WhatsApp / SMS notifications, and (if you opt-in) marketing communications.
4. Accuracy of estimates - important
MySoil's soil parameter estimates are derived from satellite imagery and statistical models. They are intended as a directional decision-support aid, not as a substitute for laboratory soil testing. We do not warrant the accuracy of any estimate. Field decisions taken on the basis of MySoil information are taken at your own risk. Where high-stakes decisions are involved (e.g. large fertilizer purchases) we strongly recommend confirming with a certified laboratory soil test.
5. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, ML model weights, or training data behind the platform.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform without our express prior written consent (responsible disclosures should be sent to the contact below).
- Use automated means to scrape, replicate, or republish content from the platform.
- Upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringing.
- Impersonate another user or otherwise misrepresent your identity.
- Use the platform in a way that disrupts service for other users.
6. Your content and licence
The data you upload (field boundaries, lab measurements, photos) remains your data. By submitting it to MySoil you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host and process it for the purpose of providing the service to you. If you have opted in to research use, you additionally permit us to use anonymised, aggregated derivatives for model improvement and research-partner reporting (see the Privacy Policy for details).
7. Intellectual property
The MySoil software, brand, design system, ML model weights, documentation, and all derived data products are our intellectual property or licensed to us. These Terms do not transfer any ownership.
8. Fees, payment and refunds
Soil Health Cards are sold per card. The current price is published on our Pricing page and is shown to you before you pay; there is no subscription, no minimum order and no recurring charge.
Payment is taken online before the report is generated, through a payment gateway. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank credentials - the gateway handles them, and we keep only its transaction references so we can match a payment to an order and process a refund.
If we cannot produce a report you have paid for, you are refunded in full. The circumstances in which you are entitled to a refund, and how long it takes, are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. When and how a card is delivered is set out in our Service Delivery Policy.
Other parts of the platform - field management, weather and advisory browsing - remain free to individual farmers. We may introduce further paid features in future, on notice, and their price and terms will be disclosed before purchase.
9. Service availability
We work hard to keep the platform available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows, third-party provider outages (GEE, Sentinel-Hub, weather APIs, SMS gateways), and unforeseen events may interrupt service. We are not liable for damages arising from such interruptions.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of soil/yield estimates, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MySoil and its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, crops, or yield, arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for free-tier users, is zero).
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your activity poses a security risk to other users. We will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy where possible. On termination, the rules in our Privacy Policy regarding data retention apply.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra. Before resorting to litigation, both parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute through the grievance procedure described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When the version number above increases, you will be prompted to re-accept the updated Terms the next time you log in. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance.
